Incredible cloud inversion in Glen Coe, Scotland

Scotland is a magical place. Here are a few of my favourite moments from a walk above the clouds in Glen Coe, Scotland.

There’s nothing quite unzipping the tent and looking out to this view after a wild camp on Beinn a' Chrùlaiste. No matter how uncomfortable the night may be, moments like this always make it worthwhile.

We wandered around for hours as the clouds continued to blow past below us like waves. It felt like we had arrived in heaven.

No matter how many times you go out here, Scotland will always find a way to surprise you. The last time I witnessed a cloud inversion like this was actually in Cape Town, South Africa, quite a few years ago. The photo I took on that morning actually helped kickstart my career, so it was strangely nostalgic to see scenes like this again. My life has changed immeasurably since that first photo, but I’m still out here chasing sunrises and enjoying them as if it was the very first time. I guess that’s just something that will never change. My head is always above the clouds.
