Incredible Northern Lights display seen over Glen Coe, Scotland

Scotland had a rare showing of the Northern Lights and it was easily the best I’ve seen in the UK so far. This was the view from my tent in Glen Coe from Beinn a' Chrùlaiste. With cloudy skies forecast I wasn’t convinced that I’d see anything, but shortly after 8pm I poked my head out to see twinkling stars and a green glow on the horizon. 15 minutes later I captured this incredible scene as the aurora waved across the sky above me. You can’t plan these things but it’s just another reminder that it’s always worth getting out there. You never know what you might find!
